PRE-WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT QUESTIONAIRE

Soon we will be spending some time together, with the primary objective of improving the performance of your team. We share responsibility to ensure that we meet this objective in an effective manner.

I have worked with many teams worldwide... and if I have learnt one thing, then it is that I can get away with some crafty "smoke and mirrors", a universal approach, and with the same old generic methodology. But I want to achieve way more than this... and so I had better have my act together! There is simply no excuse for a facilitator to be ill-prepared - particularly one who claims to compete at the top of his industry.

I embrace this responsibility fully – and will make it my business to facilitate the session in a befitting manner... but I stand no chance whatsoever of doing any justice to the trust placed in me without your help.

I need to understand exactly “where the team is at” right now if I am to compile an accurate mental picture upon which to base my approach. And to this end I need your honest input. Please complete this e-questionnaire frankly and honestly – do not withhold any relevant information, and do not hold back on anything that you may feel is important.

All responses are confidential. But, having said that, let’s get real and face the fact that we won’t get anywhere if you are not willing to take ownership of your point of view.

So... please be as open as you feel comfortable with. Hopefully, you’re comfortable with being direct and totally honest!

Please do not feel compelled to complete every section, or to answer all questions. Feel free to leave blanks. Also, you may find some questions to appear repetitive... the intention of the questionnaire is to fuel your thinking: sometimes, the same question, asked differently, sparks a new thought.
