STEF DU PLESSIS AS FACILITATOR
Stef du Plessis is a seasoned facilitator who helps groups to unlock their shared insights, towards creating an agreed outcome – whether this is at an executive level as a part of a strategic planning process; as an idea-generating work-sessions; solving complex problems; or making important decisions. Delegates often comment of the fact that Stef brings insight, direction and energy to what would otherwise be a boring or tedious process. Using a variety of tried and tested facilitation techniques and processes, he is able to create a safe environment that encourages all participants to contribute to the outcome through the free flow of communication. This enables the group to gather information, create innovation, and engage in coherent dialogue while enabling the group to solve problems and to make decisions. Stef is able to solicit input from everyone, while keeping the group focused, which allows for honest participation. His strong academic background, supported by his very wide frame of reference from having worked with diverse groups around the globe over the past twenty years enables him to crate a broad context through rich case-studies and relevant stories, creates a positive environment for the free flow of ideas and constructive discussions. This in turn directs the group focus, but without influencing the outcome. FormatFacilitated work-sessions, running from 90-minutes through to two days.
Number of ParticipantsStef has in the past effectively facilitated small-group work-sessions for groups of fewer than ten people, through to large-group processes that include hundreds of people at a time. Ideal group size for high level facilitation not more than 50.
Who Participates?Facilitated work-sessions are suitable for all levels of staff, and Stef is effective working with all levels of staff: literally ranging from blue-collar workers through to executive teams.
